Aug 16, 2010 Benchmark completed CMS (Case Management System) Phase-1

Benchmark successfully completed CMS (Case Management System) Phase-1 on Aug 16, 2010 and the tentative date of completion of Second Phase will be in the month of Sep, 2010.

Benchmark successfully completed MD2Me Phase-1 on July 6, 2010. Have received positive feedback from the client for the completion of phase-1 on time.

Jun 30, 2010 Benchmark begins CMS Project

Benchmark commenced on 30 June, 2010 the CMS (Case Management System) Project. This project allows the users to create each screen structure of the CMS Interface using a sophisticated Configuration wizard. Based on the configuration and with very minimal work, the web interface will be dynamically created for user input. The project is likely to get completed in the month of Aug, 2010.

May 3, 2010 Benchmark begins MD2Me Project

On May 3rd 2010, Benchmark commenced MD2Me Project development. This is a web based disease management intervention application that helps registered participants to communicate better with their doctor and there by effectively manage the disease.

This project covers three different types of diseases. It consists of two phases. The first phase will be completed in the month of July, 2010 and the tentative date of completion of second phase will be in the month of Sep, 2010.

Sep 10, 2009 Benchmark successfully re-certified for ISO 9001:2000

On September 10th 2009, Benchmark was awarded the re-certification as an ISO 9001:2000 company. A feeling of satisfaction prevailed as Benchmark's objective to be perceived by customers as their choice of provider for software services and solutions gained further momentum.

Jul 28, 2009 Benchmark begins Messaging System Project

Benchmark commenced on July 28, 2009 the Messaging System project for its client Santech. The Messaging System is developed to send SMS Messages to the program participants of the enrolled projects at frequent intervals, reply to which will be validated and responded back. The Messaging System will be integrated with various projects of the client.

The project is likely to be completed in mid 2010. The technologies likely to be used for the development include Dot Net Frame work 3.5, C#, LINQ, Asp.Net 3.5, Asp.Net Ajax, WCF, Web services, Windows services, XML and XSLT, JQuery & JavaScript and SQL Server 2008.

May 02, 2009 Benchmark completes Fit4life prototype development

Benchmark completed on May 02, 2009 Fit4Life prototype development for its client HealthEra. Fit4Life is a web based, week driven weight loss program for promoting healthy weight loss and weight management through physical activity and nutritional improvements. .Net framework 2.0, Asp.Net 2.0, C#, Web services and SQL Server 2008 were used for the prototype development.

Apr 08, 2009 Study Initiated for Oracle Application based Implementation

The successful completion of Portal Phase II development – Beta version has initiated a Study between Benchmark and its client, a business solutions developer, for further Oracle Application based implementation. This represents immense satisfaction, confidence and trust that the client has developed with Benchmark, following the latter’s consistent track record of meeting client expectations using the tools of technology and innovation on time.

Mar 31, 2009 Benchmark completes Portal Phase II Development - Beta version

On March 31, 2009 Benchmark successfully completed Portal Phase II Development - Beta version for its client in the UK, a leading business solutions developer. Phase II involved the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher, Customer Portal Re-design, Executive Dashboards with KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and Oracle BI Implementation.

Mar 31, 2009 Benchmark completes eBalance Phase II- mobile application development

Benchmark successfully completed eBalance Phase II - mobile application development for its client HealthEra on March 31, 2009. The application was developed using MS IIS 6, MS .Net 3.5, SQL CE 3.5 and MS Windows Mobile 6.0.

Mar 16, 2009 Benchmark’s Middleware Solution leads to successful Audit Compliance for leading bank

Benchmark’s Middleware Solution has resulted in successful audit compliance for a leading bank in the UK. A complete solution for the middleware support activities work within the bank was provided by Benchmark to ensure that the file transfers worked in compliance with the critical requirements including FSA (Financial Services Authority) audit compliance.

Benchmark faced tight deadlines during analysis, process definition and documentation of the processes followed by the implementation to remediate and secure the middleware operations of the bank. Getting necessary clearances from the Quality team and the Operational Managers at every stage without affecting the bank’s normal activities posed a great challenge to the Benchmark team.

Our consultants reviewed the bank’s current processes & delivery approach, provided recommendations, improvements to the processes and implementation support including file transfers, verifications, upgrades and installations. Subsequently this was formalized and refined into a delivery framework to meet the global middleware operations and also to satisfy the audit requirements of the bank.

Benchmark’s Middleware team achieved targets real time and maximized benefit for the client while keeping the cost under control. It exceeded the client’s expectations in all engagements through its optimal mix of technical strength, consistent approach and execution capability to produce high quality middleware support.

Mar 02, 2009 Benchmark commences Text4Diet Messaging System Development

Benchmark commenced on March 03, 2009 Text4Diet Messaging System Development, for its client HealthEra. Text4Diet is SMS/MMS based text messaging system that can be used as an intervention tool to improve dietary behaviors in overweight and moderately obese men and women. This mobile phone application uses a third party SMS aggregator for two way messaging communication.

The technologies that are used for development include .Net framework 3.5, Asp.Net 2.0, C#, Windows service, Web services and SQL Server 2008 and it is likely to be completed in the second week of May.

Feb 03, 2009 Benchmark to offer varied technology services

On February 3rd 2009, Benchmark was selected by a leading financial services company in the UK to offer services in the areas of MQ Series, WAS, TAM, SAS and Ab Initio. This has added another feather in Benchmark's cap and shows the client's confidence and trust in Benchmark's capabilities and expertise in offering services in different technologies.

Jan 28, 2009 Benchmark begins eBalance Phase II - mobile application development

Benchmark commenced eBalance Phase II - mobile application development for its client HealthEra on January 28th 2009. This involves the configuring and provisioning for the eBalance mobile-based application to communicate with the eBalance web application. The project is likely to be completed in the third week of March. The eBalance mobile application will be developed using MS IIS 6, MS .Net 3.5, SQL CE 3.5 and MS Windows Mobile 6.0.

Dec 09, 2008 Benchmark begins Portal Phase II development

Benchmark commenced the development of Portal Phase II on December 09, 2008 for its client, which is a leading business solutions company in the UK. This follows the successful completion of Portal Phase I.

Phase II involves the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher, Customer Portal Re-design, Executive Dashboards with KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and Oracle BI Implementation.

The Portal is being developed using Oracle BI, Oracle Portal Application Service and Web Designing and is likely to be completed in the final week of April.

Nov 17, 2008 Ramping up team for Middleware

Benchmark announced that it will ramp up its team beginning November 17th 2008, for offering services in the Middleware functionality to UK's leading financial institutions.

The decision followed Benchmark's proven experience in Middleware to deliver services real time, maximizing benefit while keeping the cost under control and endeavor to exceed customer expectations in all engagements with an optimal mix of technical strength and execution capability.

Sep 25, 2008 Benchmark’s Annual Surveillance Audit held

Benchmark's Second Annual Surveillance Audit to assess conformance to the ISO 9001: 2000 - Quality Management System Requirements and its sustenance was held on September 25th 2008. The audit scope included the design, development and maintenance of software projects in the areas of client server and internet applications.

Jul 14, 2008 Benchmark completes eBalance Phase I development

Benchmark completed the Phase I development of the research-based healthcare application eBalance (Energy Balance) on July 14, 2008 for its client HealthEra.

eBalance is a cell-phone based system for researchers that enable the integration of real-time assessment of food intake, user physical activity, GPS location, periodic self-report of diet, real-time feedback to users, researcher access to aggregate data on eBalance trends, locations, etc.

The application was developed using MS IIS, MS .Net 2.0, SQL 2005 and MS Windows OS.

Jun 06, 2008 Benchmark completes PoC in Middleware

Benchmark successfully completed on June 06, 2008 the PoC for a leading financial institution in the UK in the Middleware functionality. The PoC development had commenced in April.

Competent resources will work from onsite and offshore for the project, to meet client demands and expectations with respect to control standards, security issues, effectiveness and efficiency of the business process etc.

Apr 21, 2008 Benchmark begins PoC for banking major in UK

Benchmark commenced on April 21, 2008 the PoC for one of UK's leading financial institutions in the Middleware functionality. The project will enable the client in addressing concerns related to Middleware, its various versions, compliance with standards etc, as per terms of the contract.

Other topics to be covered include Information Security, Business Continuity Planning, Vendor and Third Party Management, Operations etc. The PoC is likely to be completed in the first week of June.

Mar 17, 2008 Benchmark completes Phase III - CRM solution

Benchmark successfully completed the development of Phase III of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution on March 17th 2008. The application was developed to help the client's top management and reporting authorities for drawing metrics or statistical information of the project status based on the report generated.

The CRM solution was developed using ASP.Net 2.0, Crystal Reports 10.0, SQL server 2000, Cruise Control 2.0 and N-Unit 2.3.

Feb 04, 2008 Benchmark Commences Phase III of CRM Solution

Benchmark commenced the development of Phase III of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution on December 14th 2007. This follows the successful completion of CRM Phase II.

CRM Phase III targets mainly at generating reports intended to create a customizable view for every module available in the system. This application will chiefly help top management and reporting authorities for drawing metrics or statistical information of the project status based on the report generated.

The CRM solution will be developed using ASP.Net 2.0, Crystal Reports 10.0, SQL server 2000, Cruise Control 2.0 and N-Unit 2.3. The solution is expected to be released in the third week of March 2008.

Jan 10, 2008 Benchmark to head Steering Committee of European Corporation

Benchmark has been nominated to head the Steering Committee (SC) of a Global European Corporation. This is a testimony to the tremendous confidence and trust that customers have on Benchmark.

Benchmark's role as Head of the Steering Committee will include advising the Corporation on Corporate Strategy, leveraging IT to expand their business with all their global customers and enabling solutions that enhance the business of their customers.

The nomination of Benchmark as the head of the Steering Committee is an endorsement of Benchmark's competence and ability to build customer confidence in a very short period. The achievement has further reinforced Benchmark's competence in offering high quality customer-centric solutions.

Dec 28, 2007 Benchmark commences eBalance application

On Dec 28th 2007, Benchmark announced the beginning of research-based healthcare application eBalance for its client HealthEra. The application will involve monitoring the physical movement of the researchers’ subjects by means of a web service that communicates with a dedicated cell phone. It also includes a project website that defines a research protocol and the sensors with sensor parameters required to execute the protocol.

Benchmark will work along with the researchers during the Requirement gathering phase and subsequently begin the application development activities. The project is likely to be completed in the first week of May.

The eBalance will be developed using MS IIS, MS .Net 2.0, SQL 2005 and MS Windows OS.

Nov 02, 2007 Benchmark begins project in Maintenance, Support

Benchmark commenced the offering of Maintenance & Support services to one of UK’s leading business solutions company Advanced Innovations (AI) in the final week of October. This follows the signing of a strategic deal between AI and Benchmark, wherein Benchmark was selected by AI as its Strategic Technology partner.

Benchmark will provide Maintenance & Support to AI in areas relating to E-Business Application, Portal Dashboard Creation and Designing, DBA Monitoring, Website Designing, Training & Creation of Knowledge database, Quality Assurance, all leading to a Technology Roadmap.

Further, Benchmark’s services to AI will involve providing support to troubleshooting problems and issues through web and telephone on a continuous basis. This is likely to include extension of services, addition of new features and functionalities, creation of comprehensive areas for AI’s customers and suppliers with administration functionalities and privacy controls.

Oct 15, 2007 Benchmark inks deal as Strategic Technology Partner

Benchmark has tied up with a leading business solutions company in the UK for providing services that would enhance the client`s efficiency in areas of Consulting, Support, Design and Development. 

Through the partnership, Benchmark will pro-actively contribute to the business of the solutions provider by arriving at a 5 year technology road map that will pave the way for growth of the latter`s businesses worldwide.

Benchmark has been chosen as the Strategic Technology Partner to provide integrated Manufacturing, Innovation Support and Financial Engineering services. This partnership will clearly establish Benchmark not just as a software services provider but as a company that participates and adds value to its customers` business in various ways.

Oct 10, 2007 iMOM E-Commerce application Kicks Off

On October 10th 2007, the project team of iMOM commenced the Kick Off of its E-Commerce Application, which will make the existing iMOM Research Application into a Commercialized Project.

Commercialization includes online user registration process, inclusion of advertisement module, enhancements in Admin feature and comprehensive reporting feature on advertisement and user statistics.

The team, which has completed the requirement analysis, is in the process of drafting the detailed SRS and preparing the design documents, which are carried out as parallel activities.

Sep 21, 2007 Benchmark begins Phase II of CRM solution

Benchmark commenced the development of Phase II of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution on September 21st 2007. This follows the successful completion of CRM Phase I.

Modules covered under Phase II include Global Database, Employees, Customer, Prospects, Action Tracking, Campaign, Supplier, Products, SMS Integration and Outlook.

The CRM solution will be developed using ASP.NET 2.0, C#, AJAX, Outlook Add-Ins and SMS Service with SQL Server 2000 as database. Dev Express components will also be used for the purpose of development.

The solution is expected to be released in the first half of December.

Aug 03, 2007 Benchmark’s Jewelry Management Solution Kicks Off

Benchmark announced the Kick Off of its Jewelry Management Software - Glitz on August 3rd 2007. This product is being developed to help retail jewelry merchants to handle operations relating to Jewelry industry.

The modules that would feature Glitz comprise Inventory, Purchases, Sales and Accounts. The scope of the application also includes providing Online Order Status, Management Information Reports, EDI with customers and vendors and Cost Estimation.

The solution will be developed using the technologies of .Net and SQL Server database and is expected to be completed in the final week of December.

Jul 13, 2007 Benchmark initiates development of CRM Solution

Benchmark commenced the development of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution in grand style on July 13th 2007.

The solution will entail development of ‘Single-Point Information Repository’ which will contain comprehensive information of organizations, their employees, prospects and related business entities, all in a single package.

The CRM solution is expected to be developed using ASP.NET 2.0, C#, AJAX, Outlook Add-Ins and Windows Service with SQL Server 2000 as database. Dev Express, a customized tool for web applications will be used to reduce about 40% of coding time and Microsoft Exception handling block will be used to handle logical errors in the form of exceptions.

Jul 03, 2007 Benchmark successfully completes TLMS project

Benchmark successfully completed on 3rd July 2007 the Time Line Management System (TLMS) project for a leading Engineering Consulting Company in record time.

TLMS is a web based intranet application for automating the client’s daily activities like Resource Management, Timeline Management, Project Management, Human Resource Management, Project Planning & Attendance.

The essential feature of the system was to generate reports for the above activities on user request. IIS 6.0 was used as web server for the project, ASP.NET for server scripting, C# 2.0 as code behind language, XML, SQL server 2005 as Database and Crystal Reports for Reports.

Jun 10, 2007 Benchmark partners with Foresight Technology

Benchmark has tied up with UAE-based Foresight Technology to offer complete offshore development activities. Foresight is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alpha Data, one of the largest ICT companies in the United Arab Emirates.

Through the agreement, Benchmark will provide Foresight offshore development activities that include:

Jun 08, 2007 Pomp and joy marks B’Fiesta celebration

One of Benchmark’s most anticipated events was celebrated with great joy and exuberance at “Green Meadows” on June 08, 2007. The event was organized to bolster the spirit of unity and motivate employees. Carrying the nomenclature B’Fiesta, the day lived up to its true name.

The Benchmarkians upheld the spirit of team work by coming together for various activities organized to exhibit their hidden talents. Breaking away from daily routines, the day helped in raising energy levels among the employees. B’Fiesta marked camaraderie, happiness, joy and plenty of energy with challenging and thought provoking brain teasers, jokes, interactive games, team building exercises, music, dance and food.

Forming part of B’Fiesta, various competitions were held in-house prior to the actual event, which received widespread participation and appreciation.

Benchmark successfully completed the Content Library Management System (CLMS) project for a leading US based healthcare company in record time.

Mar 16, 2007 Kick-off of Time Management System project announced

After several introductory presentations and meetings with the President and experts of a leading engineering consultant company, the project on Time Management System kicked-off on March 16th 2007.

The objective of this project is to develop a web based intranet Time Management System which helps the client in maintaining their entire time management process in a centralized and standardized system. Automating the Time Line Management System also enables them to overcome the problems of the existing manual process using excel sheet.

The project is being developed using Microsoft .NET 2005 with MS-SQL Server 2000 as the database.

Mar 07, 2007 Benchmark felicitates Q-Chain winners for 2006

Benchmark takes great effort in driving energy levels amongst its employees and at the same time educating them on the Quality processes to create awareness on the functional areas. This is done through the process of Q-Chain, where employees are sent fortnightly mailers comprising various sections like Q-corner, Q-news, Q-info, Q-quiz and Q-thoughts.

The prize distribution ceremony of Q-Chain edition for the year ended 2006 was held on March 07, 2007. Winners were honored with cash awards, mementos and certificates for their talent, contribution and participation to the Q-Chain mailers and various competitions held during the year.

Feb 28, 2007 Kick off of iMOM project in Healthcare domain announced

On 28th Feb 2007, the project team celebrated the kick-off of the iMOM project, which is for a US based leading Healthcare Company. The overall goal of this project is to decrease the BMI (body mass index) in mild to moderately overweight women (ages 18-45), who are at least 6 weeks post-delivery, by the end of a 16-week online intervention.  Weight loss is promoted by disseminating targeted physical activity and nutrition information, goals, related educational materials, and behavioral skills via a dedicated website designed for this intervention.

The scope of the project includes development of iMOM Intervention Application, integration of message board, publishing library content from library application, integration of site statistics information, integration of automatic e-mail scheduling functionality and development of an Admin module. 

The project development environment includes Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005, Asp.NET 2.0, C#, XML 1.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 at the backend. FusionChart will be used for the reporting needs.

Jan 02, 2007 Kick-off of Content Library Management System project is announced

The President of a leading US Healthcare company visited Benchmark’s Chennai development center in the second week of December 2006. During this visit both the organizations strengthen their relationship further by agreeing to work together on more projects.

One of the projects agreed during the visit was kicked-off on 2nd January 2007. Benchmark has agreed to deliver the project within an extremely aggressive deadline of 3 months. This project involves development of web based application to provide a centralized repository for a document library for the purposes of demonstration/dissemination to customers through various intervention web applications.

The project is being developed using ASP.Net 2.0 and C# with MS-SQL Server 2000 as the database.

Dec 31, 2006 Q-Chain awards for 2006 announced

Working in Benchmark is an experience full of challenges, fun and rewards. Q-Chain is one of the forums, which encourage the employees to participate and take up challenges in the form of open sessions and quiz programs.

The winners of the Q-Chain edition for the year 2006 were announced on 31st December 2006. The winners will be given cash awards and certificates in a prize distribution ceremony scheduled in the month of March 2007.

Nov 13, 2006 Benchmark expands its US operations..

Benchmark is pleased to announce the opening of its second US office in Woodbine, Maryland. The new Maryland office is in alignment with Benchmark’s strategic vision to expand across the United States in order to meet client’s onshore development, consulting and staffing needs. Benchmark’s current US operations are managed from its office in Sunnyvale, California.

Bruce Kelly as Head, Sales and Marketing has more than twenty years of management experience working with Fortune 500 companies. He was responsible for the sales growth in companies like General Electric, British Petroleum and TXU Energy. He has a strong customer orientation and extensive implementation experience in all areas of technology marketing.

Jim Blair, Vice President, Sales, has sixteen years experience in the marketing field, working with Fortune 500 companies. Nov 02, 2006 Benchmark successfully re-certified for ISO 9001:2000

There is a reason behind all the smiling faces at Benchmark. On November 2nd 2006 we were awarded the re-certification as an ISO 9001:2000 company. May 25, 2006 Benchmark successfully completes B-Beat Level 2

Benchmark successfully completes B-Beat Level 2 project for Health Era and receives the following endorsement:

The Benchmark team has done an excellent job of designing, coding and deploying Level II of the iOK MySteps application. This phase 2 of the application was the most difficult to implement due to the lack of comprehensive documentation from the client, and significant re-design by the Benchmark team helped to make the application “useable” by end-user clients. HealthEra has no suggestions for improvement in the current services provided by Benchmark…our overall rating for Level II activity is…excellent!
